Megan Thee Stallion to Show Hotties ‘A New Side’ in Moulin Rouge! The Musical Broadway Debut
Megan Thee Stallion is adding Broadway to her growing list of accomplishments.
The Houston rapper will take the stage this spring in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” joining the production in its seventh and final year before it closes on July 26. Known for chart topping hits and high energy performances, Megan is now stepping into a role that will introduce fans to a different dimension of her artistry.
Megan will portray the nightclub impresario Zidler, a role previously played by Bob the Drag Queen. Originally created as a male character named Harold Zidler, the part has traditionally been performed by male actors. Megan will become the first female identifying performer to take on the role.
Her run is scheduled for eight weeks, from March 24 through May 17, marking a headline making chapter in the show’s farewell season.
Producer Carmen Pavlovic described the casting as a centerpiece of the production’s closing celebration, calling it “a major part of our closing celebrations” and a “farewell gift to Broadway audiences.”

For Megan, the move represents more than a guest appearance.
“Stepping onto the Broadway stage and joining the Moulin Rouge! The Musical team is an absolute honor,” she said in a statement reported by Billboard. “I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace. Broadway demands a different level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait for the Hotties to see a new side of me.”
Pavlovic also confirmed that audiences can expect subtle nods to Megan’s own catalog woven into the production.
“We want our show to go out with a spectacular bang, and Megan is the force of nature to lead us there. And yes, there will be a hint of music from her own iconic catalogue. It’s an unmissable moment for both Megan’s fans and ours.”
While Broadway is new territory, Megan is no stranger to the screen. Since breaking out with mixtapes like “Tina Snow” and “Fever,” she has expanded into acting roles in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Dicks: The Musical, and the musical film reboot of Mean Girls. She is also set to appear in the upcoming Tracy Morgan comedy series, The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins.
Now, with a Broadway spotlight ahead of her, Megan Thee Stallion is preparing to show her Hotties that reinvention is part of the brand.
