Following the Dallas Mavericks’ bombshell trade of Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers last weekend, reports emerged on social media of Mavs fans asking for refunds on their season tickets.
“Regarding refunds,” the Mavericks told Dallas’ ABC affiliate WFAA, “we value every season ticket member relationship and reps are available to take calls from members with any concerns or questions.”
At least one fan, per the station, received monetary compensation after complaining to the team.
SBJ reported this headline: “Mavs offering refunds after Dončić trade, fans say”, further stating the following:
Mavericks fans said that the team has “offered refunds” to those “who have canceled season tickets” in the wake of the trade that sent superstar G Luka Dončić to the Lakers for F Anthony Davis, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com (ESPN.com, 2/4). WFAA-TV’s Paul Livergood noted there is “no across-the-board refund from the Mavericks — not that we know of.” The Mavericks said reps are “available to take calls from members with any concerns or questions” regarding refunds. The Mavs also said “no determination” has been made about 2025-26 season ticket pricing.
