Mask It or Casket—Get the Shot or Burial Plot

There are two slick guys in control in Texas, not to mention the oily others in the legislature, that are hell bent on preventing Black and Brown people from voting, supporting the age old lies about the Alamo and slavery, and strangling the population with anti-mask and anti-vaccine policies and rhetoric. And now the Lieutenant Governor, Dan “Slick” Patrick and his oily partner Greg Abbott are about inventing even more outlandish lies. Dan Patrick, who has been accused of criminal bribery, has issued a racist statement on Fox News claiming that the surge of the Covid virus is the result of Black people not taking the shot. Racist to the core!

Under conventional conditions, the vaccine program would be in full swing, as health officials have done in combatting polio, diphtheria, tetanus, malaria, measles, mumps, pneumonia, the flu, shingles, and others. Now, not too smart people, originally spurred on by you know who (Trump), are claiming some personal freedom and the expense of getting us all sick. A loose coalition of wing nuts, who are opposed to the vaccination campaign and the mask effort, have sprouted up as violent screaming ninnies who make the false claim of democracy while engaged in violent and harassing confrontations at school boards and other places where they seek to make a run for their ignorant anti-science position.

One can argue over personal freedom, but fundamentally the question must be answered—what does science say about the best way to combat the variants of COVID? Trump was infected with COVID and deceitfully prGreg etended to be a superman when evidence exists that after he was released from the hospital he could barely breathe. Trump was also the one who said letting the sun inside your body would stop the virus and even went so far as to say that people inject themselves with stuff that would kill or hurt them. This is where the governor and willy-nilly Dan Patrick get their fake news from, using ludicrous rhetoric that mask mandates for school children be abandoned. Patrick and Abbott will forever go down in history as being on the wrong side.

The anti-mask campaign has killed many but we must answer the question about what must we do to deal with the COVID threat? DUH! Easy enough—wear the mask and get the shot—mask it or casket, get the shot or go ahead and buy a burial plot! Stop listening to the oily slick Trump infected that don’t know jack about science. Blind denial of the COVID threat, which has already killed millions, cannot be reduced to phony advise from political Trump hacks. Hundreds of millions have been vaccinated against the virus with results that cannot be refuted.

The anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers have used other issues trying to turn the question into one “for democracy.” Common sense is shoved aside as these political scoundrels try to yeast up the most ignorant and racist elements in society. The recent census data reveals a lot. These baffling juggling clowns are concerned about the “browning” of America as the white population is declining.  This terrifies the heck out of white supremacists.  People are constantly being bombarded by lies from officials in States (Texas and Florida) that have the highest rates of COVID.  They are seeking to ride the Trumps craze in the quest for racism and Jim Crow to take hold again. They continue to defy common sense jeopardizing the health of the states. Lies and white supremacy will not win in the long run.
