Luv’s Brownies Marks 30 Years With Super Bowl LX Supplier Nod

Super Bowl LX Recognition Puts Luv’s Brownies on a National Stage

Bay Area staple Luv’s Brownies is marking its 30th anniversary with a milestone few small businesses reach: selection as an approved local supplier through the NFL Super Bowl LX Source Program.

The designation positions the woman-owned bakery to compete for Super Bowl–related contracts as the Bay Area prepares to host one of the world’s largest sporting events, placing a homegrown brand alongside national vendors during Super Bowl week.

Expansion Into Alameda County Builds Regional Presence

Luv’s Brownies is also extending its footprint beyond Santa Clara County into Alameda County, where its dessert and food truck has become a familiar sight at community events.

“The Luv’s Brownies Food Truck has expanded its business to Alameda County and has become a local favorite,” said Napoleon Batalao, Director of Digital Communications for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. “We’re proud of the connection we’ve built between outstanding food trucks like Luv’s Brownies and the community that shows up to support our events.”

Big Game Kickoff Celebration in Downtown San Jose

To commemorate three decades in business, Luv’s Brownies will take part in a two-day Big Game kickoff concert and block party in downtown San Jose on the Friday and Saturday leading into Super Bowl Sunday.

The large-scale celebration near City Hall will include street closures, live performances by a two-time Grammy Award–winning R&B artist, and sets from an internationally acclaimed DJ and producer. Luv’s Brownies will serve fans throughout the weekend from its food and dessert truck.

Founder Andrea Lacy’s Journey Fuels the Brand’s Mission

For founder and CEO Andrea Lacy, the anniversary reflects far more than business success.

“Celebrating 30 years of Luv’s Brownies — while marking five years of our Grit Scholarship and being recognized by the NFL — is incredibly meaningful,” Lacy said. “This journey reflects perseverance, creativity, and the power of community.”

Lacy’s own story mirrors the scholarship’s purpose. While attending San Jose State University, she worked three jobs to pay for school before learning she had dyslexia — a discovery that ultimately unlocked her creative strengths. A recipe mishap caused by transposed ingredients led to the creation of the now-iconic Original Heart-Shaped Brownie®, which has defined the brand ever since.
