KTSA Radiothon Returns to Support the 46th Annual Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner
San Antonio’s beloved holiday tradition continues as KTSA 107.1 FM / 550 AM hosts its annual Radiothon benefiting the 46th Annual Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner — a cornerstone community event that has fed hundreds of thousands of families, seniors, and individuals in need for nearly five decades.
Keeping a San Antonio Tradition Alive
The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner, known as “A Feast of the Heart,” was founded by the late restaurateur Raul Jimenez in 1979 to ensure that no San Antonian would spend Thanksgiving alone or hungry. What began as a small gathering has grown into one of the largest Thanksgiving community meals in the nation, powered by volunteers and donations from local residents and businesses.
The KTSA Radiothon, airing all day Friday, October 17, aims to raise funds that will help feed more than 25,000 guests this Thanksgiving at the Henry B. González Convention Center. Listeners can tune in throughout the day to hear stories from volunteers, community leaders, and families who have been touched by the annual event.

“A Feast of the Heart” for Thousands
Organizers say the Thanksgiving dinner represents more than a hot meal — it’s about connection, dignity, and community spirit. Each year, volunteers serve turkey, dressing, sides, and dessert to guests from across San Antonio, creating a welcoming holiday table for everyone, regardless of circumstance.
Supporters can donate during the Radiothon by calling 210-654-5151, texting “GIVE” to 866-379-0285, or donating online at KTSA.com. Every dollar raised helps fund food, supplies, and logistics to ensure another successful Thanksgiving for the city’s most vulnerable residents.

Continuing Raul Jimenez’s Legacy
Even after Raul Jimenez’s passing, his vision endures through his family and the countless volunteers who carry it forward each year. The KTSA Radiothon has become one of the dinner’s largest sources of community support — keeping Jimenez’s legacy alive in a city that still rallies around his mission of compassion.
“This dinner is a reflection of San Antonio’s heart,” organizers said. “It’s a reminder that when the community comes together, no one has to be alone during the holidays.”
