Kel Mitchell Plans to Launch Orange Soda Inspired by Iconic Catchphrase
Kel Mitchell is turning nostalgia into entrepreneurship. The Kenan & Kel star revealed he’s developing his own brand of orange soda — but with a modern twist. During a recent appearance at 90s Con in Connecticut, Mitchell told fans that the drink his character made famous on the hit Nickelodeon show might soon be hitting shelves.
“But it’s coming, okay? My own orange soda,” Mitchell said, according to People. “I was on the phone with my attorney because… it has to be healthy. I can’t have kids out here just drinking fructose and sugar, you know what I mean? So, we’ve been working on it.”
The beloved catchphrase, “Who loves orange soda? Kel loves orange soda!”, has stuck with Mitchell for decades — and now, he’s ready to bottle it up, this time with health-conscious ingredients.
‘Good Burger 3’ and a Possible Return to ‘Kenan & Kel’
Mitchell also gave fans another reason to smile: he and longtime friend and co-star Kenan Thompson have been discussing a third Good Burger movie. The second installment dropped in 2023, nearly 26 years after the original, and ended with a tease of a space-themed adventure.
“Me and Kenan actually sat down and talked about the script for part three, alright, so it’s going to go down,” Mitchell told fans. “We’ve got to make sure it’s right, just like how Good Burger 2 was. We’re not gonna make you guys wait over 15 years.”
In addition to the Good Burger universe, Mitchell hinted at something even bigger — a possible reboot of Kenan & Kel, this time with the two stars navigating adulthood, fatherhood, and life’s new chaos. The duo last reunited on SNL in 2022 for a sketch featuring Keke Palmer spoofing a modern reboot of the show — and now, that concept may turn into a full-circle comeback.
