Kai Cenat Smashes Record, Stars in New Film

Kai Cenat Breaks Twitch Record, Joins Kevin Hart in “Livestream From Hell”

Last week Kai Cenat wrapped up the third iteration of his ‘Mafiathon’ series, a 24/7, 30-day livestreaming marathon on Twitch where he invited various musicians, athletes and pop culture icons like Kim Kardashian, Mariah Carey and even LeBron for a series of interactive activities and hilarious antics designed to push the bounds to the streaming industry. By the time the month-long stream ended, Kai would have a new world record and an upcoming Kevin Hart movie deal under his belt.

30-Day Twitch Marathon-Stream

Kai’s 30-day Twitch marathon-stream (or ‘Mafiathon,’ as it has come to be known), was first created by Cenat back in 2023 as a clever spin on the 24-hour streaming challenges that have risen to popularity in the livestreaming age. Kai’s ‘Mafiathon’ took off immediately, and is part of what launched him to superstardom, establishing him as a household name and in the position to do the sort of things that lead him to star in a blockbuster film alongside Kevin Hart.

The last day of Kai’s month-long stream was on September 30th, and he ended the ‘Mafiathon’ by having LeBron shave Kai’s head live, in celebration of him hitting the one million active subscriber milestone on Twitch, making him the first streamer to ever do so and breaking his previous world record. The second to last day of the marathon-stream was filled with nearly as much excitement, as Kai welcomed Druski and Kevin Hart, where the trio announced their upcoming horror-comedy movie, “Livestream From Hell.”

’Mafiathon’ Comedy Savants

Kevin Hart’s relationship with Kai is one that’s been building for the past couple years, with Hart fulfilling a mentor-type role and sharing his knowledge of the film industry with Cenat (and Druski). The duo’s celebrity camaraderie began last year when Kai invited Hart on to the second ‘Mafiathon,’ which took the internet by storm in a series of viral clips from the segment. Since then, the two comedy savants have been hinting at a lot of behind-the-scenes work, with Cenat mentioning in several interviews that he’d one day like to be in a movie with Hart – it looks like that day has come sooner than expected.

Livestream From Hell

“Livestream From Hell” will apparently feature the comedy trio as hosts of a live broadcast that goes horribly wrong when people start getting murdered on-cam, and the triad must solve the murders while staying alive and keeping their online audience engaged. No release date has been announced yet, but it’ll be interesting to see what happens when the worlds of streaming success and Hollywood stardom collide, so stay tuned.
