“I Pray for a White Ethno State”, The Sick Idea Of Lunatics

 The New Civil Rights Movement

White racists are now trying to infiltrate radical organizations and call themselves “socialists.” One racist posted this online, “I thought you’d learn this from historical analysis of fascism. It seems what you want is “woke” fascism. Good luck. I pray for a white ethno state.” Even with segregation officially over, the problem of white supremacy from lunatics (like the quote above) has gone nowhere. Trump he has raised racists from the grave. Racism is an indelible part of the present. The interesting thing about the sickness of racism is how it operates. Some of my Nigerian friends did not recognize it at first. A Nigerian associate of mine once told me that he had been stopped by the police in his nice car, the officer was at first very rude, but and after he looked at his name on the license and insurance card and saw he was native African he immediately changed his tune. The reason for this is explained in the twisted logic of white supremacy. The Nigerian was not an American Black (or colored Negro in his mind) and therefore was given more courtesy.

In the South during the days of segregation, some Black folk discovered that if you talked with a Caribbean (Jamaican accent for example) accent racist storeowners would let you shop there. White supremacist logic was based on the fact that they were not dealing with an American “Negro,” but with a “not too Black of a person” from another country. However, it does not always work that way as many Nigerians and others from Africa are discovering that their skin color is seen before anything else. Racists know nothing about the Yoruba or Igbo tribes and only see skin color. Fighting white supremacy is the main movement now.

Sometimes racists will call the cops simply because they don’t like “loud talking.” This often happens on college campuses, or street corners, when blacks pick a specific area of the school to socialize. The racism does not stop there as any progress made by Black people is often seen as an affront to Whites. When Obama was elected many of us forgot how this racism works and should have known that you better “Stay Woke,” as white racist hatred exploded and eventually embodied itself in the actions of political actors like Trump.

This is the depths of racist stupidity which survives generation after generation. Many progressive people claimed that Trump would not win the election because moderate Republicans would not allow it—this ignorant analysis failed to understand the strength of white supremacy. Other ignorant folks think we won the civil rights movement because ending segregation was their only goal—poor reckoning indeed as racist police actions proves that wrong. Sure we made some gains, but when people went home and went to sleep, white supremacy struck back like a mad rabid dog. Now, our focus must be on ending white supremacy in all of its manifestations. This is the new human rights movement.

White supremacy is engrained in the minds of the ignorant and even some radicals fail to see this and think only class oppression now matters. Racism won over class oppression in this country long ago. Sure, class oppression still exists in the form of poor wages, poor medical benefits, and harassment of organized labor, but Black folk, Brown folk, and others face the twin evils of race and class and not just class. White supremacy must be defeated in education and in socio-politico policies or the fascist policies of Trump will win.
