San Antonio is gearing up for the holiday season as the iconic H-E-B Christmas Tree makes its annual debut in Travis Park. Delivered early Tuesday morning, the 40-foot Nordmann Fir from Oregon stands as a festive gift from H-E-B to the city, kicking off the countdown to Christmas.
The tree, adorned with over 10,000 multicolored lights and handmade ornaments, is part of a cherished tradition that H-E-B proudly supports, investing more than $250,000 each year to bring the holiday spirit to life.

Mark your calendars for the 40th Annual H-E-B Tree Lighting on Nov. 29. The free celebration begins at 4 p.m., with the tree lighting ceremony scheduled for 6:20 p.m. Guests can look forward to a variety of festive activities, including holiday crafts, giveaways, writing letters to Santa, and a special visit from Santa himself.
To make the evening even more magical, H-E-B is offering free VIA bus rides to the event and complimentary ice skating from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The night will conclude with a free screening of the 2018 film The Grinch at 7 p.m., ensuring fun for the entire family.
