H-E-B Honors Teachers, Counselors, and Principals with 2026 Excellence in Education Awards
The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, one of Texas’ most prestigious educator recognition programs, is now open for applications through November 2, 2025. The awards celebrate public school teachers, counselors, and principals who demonstrate exceptional dedication, innovation, and impact in their classrooms and communities.
Since its launch, the program has stood as a symbol of appreciation for educators who “go the extra mile each and every day” to serve students and inspire others. Winners receive not only statewide recognition but also significant cash prizes for both themselves and their schools.
Application and Nomination Deadlines
Educators interested in being considered for the 2026 awards have until November 2 at 11:59 p.m. CST to complete their applications. Letters of support from a principal or administrator must be submitted by November 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CST.
Community members and colleagues can also play a role in the process by nominating outstanding educators before the September 30, 2025 nomination deadline. Those nominated will be invited to complete an application to move forward in the selection process.
