Make a Splash This Summer with San Antonio Parks and Recreation Job Fair
Looking to earn some cash and have fun in the sun this summer? San Antonio Parks and Recreation is hosting a Summer Job Fair on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Lake Park Gym, and they’re offering cool seasonal jobs that come with even cooler perks.
Whether you’re interested in lifeguarding, leading youth programs, or helping run community pools, there are a variety of roles up for grabs — including lifeguard, swimming pool supervisor, recreation assistant, recreation instructor, and recreation specialist. Starting pay for all positions begins at $18 an hour.
Applicants hired as lifeguards may receive up to $500 in incentives and a $75 swimsuit reimbursement. Pool supervisors can earn up to $800 in incentives, plus the same $75 swimsuit reimbursement.
Job seekers are encouraged to apply in advance at SA.gov/Careers, though on-site interviews will be available for qualified candidates during the fair. Those interested in aquatic positions should bring a swimsuit and towel for pre-tests. Lifeguard jobs are open to applicants ages 16 and up, while recreation roles require applicants to be 18 or older.
