O’Connor High Alum’s Next Stop: Hollywood’s Television Academy Foundation
A proud San Antonio native is making her mark in Hollywood this summer. Tori McClung, a graduate of Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Helotes, has been selected for the Television Academy Foundation’s highly competitive Summer Internship program. She is one of just 40 students nationwide chosen by Television Academy members for this prestigious opportunity.
McClung will spend the summer in Los Angeles interning in the commercials production department at RadicalMedia, a major production company, where she’ll gain hands-on experience working with industry professionals.
Adding to her accomplishments, McClung was also selected for the exclusive Bob Bennett Future Leaders program — a distinction awarded to only 10 of the Foundation’s summer interns. The program includes financial support, leadership training, and professional development, preparing rising talents for influential roles in television.
McClung recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in radio, television, and film. She plans to continue her education this fall by pursuing a master’s degree in advertising.
It feels amazing to have been chosen by such a prestigious group, McClung shared. “I still can’t believe it! It means so much to have my unique skills seen and appreciated in such a competitive industry.
McClung’s journey from San Antonio to Hollywood reflects her dedication, talent, and drive to succeed in the entertainment world — and she’s just getting started.
