SAISD Provides Free Meals For Summer
San Antonio families can breathe a little easier this summer—SAISD is providing free meals for children and young adults through the “Seamless Summer Nutrition Program,” a statewide effort run by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
From June 2 to August 1, 2025, kids and teens 18 and under can enjoy free breakfast and lunch at participating SAISD sites—no sign-up or enrollment required. The program also covers students under 21 who are still enrolled in school and receiving special education services.
This program helps ensure that no child goes hungry during the summer months, said SAISD officials.
Breakfast starts as early as 7:30 a.m. and lunch is served beginning at 10:30 a.m. Exact meal times and locations can be found on the district’s nutrition site at saisd.net/page/nutrition-home.
Families with questions can call the SAISD Child Nutrition Services line at (210) 554-2290 for more details.
