  • Republic Services Landfill – 7000 IH 10 E, 78219
  • Waste Management Landfill – 8611 Covel Road, 78252

This one-day event is open to SWMD customers only.

What You Need to Bring

To take advantage of Free Landfill Day, participants must bring:

  • A valid photo ID
  • A recent CPS Energy bill showing payment of the City’s environmental fee

All loads must be covered with a tarp, and safety vests are strongly encouraged for personal protection.

What’s Accepted and What’s Not

Accepted items include:

  • Household bulky waste (appliances, furniture, mattresses)
  • Carpet, fencing material, water heaters, and toilets
  • Tires (limit of six passenger vehicle tires per household)

Not accepted:

  • Roofing materials, sheetrock, dirt, brick, brush, lumber
  • Construction debris, industrial, or commercial waste

The City may redirect customers to alternate sites if needed, based on landfill capacity.
