‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Begins Production With New Cast Members
After a long-awaited return, HBO’s hit series “Euphoria” is back in production for its third season, bringing fresh faces to the cast. Among the new additions are former NFL star Marshawn Lynch, veteran actor Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Darrell Britt-Gibson.
Returning Stars and Departing Cast Members
Fan-favorite actors Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow are all set to return. Colman Domingo will also make a guest appearance. However, some familiar faces won’t be coming back, including Storm Reid, who played Rue’s younger sister, Gia Bennett. Reid confirmed her departure in November 2024, expressing gratitude for her time on the show.
Delays and Production Challenges
Season 3 faced multiple setbacks, primarily due to the Hollywood strikes and the tragic passing of cast member Angus Cloud. Even the show’s stars were left uncertain about when production would resume. In April 2024, Zendaya addressed the uncertainty, reminding fans, “I’m not in charge.”
What to Expect in Season 3
One of the biggest rumored changes for the upcoming season is a significant time jump. Costume designer Heidi Bivens revealed that the storyline might advance about five years into the future, moving the characters beyond their high school years.
With production finally underway, fans can look forward to more updates, including an official premiere date.
