The Emerald Run 5k Invites Families, Joggers, and Competitive Runners to Celebrate Spring on the River Walk
San Antonio runners and walkers are invited to lace up for the 2026 Emerald Run 5K on Saturday, March 14, along the scenic San Antonio River Walk.
The annual race blends fitness, community spirit, and St. Patrick’s season energy, offering participants a festive way to welcome spring. Organizers encourage runners to wear green or themed attire as they take on the 5K route through downtown.
The race will begin and end at Jones Avenue and Avenue B, guiding participants along a picturesque course filled with the sights and sounds of the River Walk. Designed for all fitness levels, the event welcomes walkers, joggers, competitive runners, and families looking for an active weekend outing.

Registration pricing varies based on sign-up date. Registration from March 1 through the day before the event is $40.
Family walk options are also available at $25 per participant or $80 for a four-person family pack. Organizers note that all registrations are non-refundable.
