This Election, We Aren’t Just Choosing Policies. We’re Choosing Who We Are.

Does Policy Even Matter? Voting for Trump or Harris This Election Means You Support Who They Are- Accept It.

You can’t vote this election for Donald Trump or Kamala Harris without being honest about what you support.

Don’t look now but the election is here. People are voting across the country as we begin the wait to see who will win one of the most tumultuous and consequential elections in modern American history.

Polls show that Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are neck and neck, that it’s going to be a nail-biter election for the country and that voters are going to hit a record number.

Trump or Harris?

What we’re going to see now, though, is what voters want for the country. Who the American people are and what they stand for at the election polls. And, like it or not, whom you vote for is a clear signal that you support everything about the candidate. Everything.

As much as elections have to deal with policy and what a candidate will do once in office. Is policy the most important thing to consider, when historically policy is not the reason a government collapses? Think about it for a second, extreme governments exist just fine even today.

Radical policies aren’t a detriment to a government. Rather, history shows that it is the “leader” or “face” of these governments who concentrate wealth and power.

Does anybody want to work for a boss who doesn’t follow the rules they implemented themselves?

Now, yes, policy absolutely has an astounding weight to it this election.  There’s women’s rights with abortion, immigration, the economy, foreign policy, etc. But, what I think many will agree on, that’s not the only thing you need to consider when you decide which candidate to elect.

Vote for Trump, and you stand behind everything about him. Aristocracy, racism, sexism, demagoguery, fraud, his white supremacist MAGA movement, his 34 felony convictions, sexual abuse and everything else between.

Vote for Harris, and you stand behind everything about her. Democracy, equality, integrity, individualism, progression, and everything else between.

After years of discourse of misinformation and truth, it’s finally time to just decide. Ultimately, me, you, and our fellow Americans will decide who gets the White House.

Is policy superior to the character of a person? Are words more than actions? It’s time to decide. Just be honest about what your decision is.

See you at the polls…it’s election time.
