“Found a new home here, found a new fiancée, and everything’s just falling in line, just the way God planned it,” he said, pointing to Normani and adding, “She right there. Hold that rock up, baby.”
Proposal Took Place During a Family Gathering
Metcalf revealed he proposed while both of their families were gathered in Houston, Texas. Normani, clearly still glowing from the moment, chimed in during the press conference, saying, “They got me good!”
Relationship Sparked by Ciara and Russell Wilson
The couple made their relationship public in 2023, though their love story began even earlier. They were introduced by singer Ciara, who is married to Metcalf’s former Seahawks teammate Russell Wilson.
After the engagement news broke, Ciara shared a heartfelt TikTok featuring a photo of the happy couple and the song “Love Lies,” one of Normani’s hits with Khalid.
