Have Your Say on the Future of the District 2 Senior Center — Survey Open Through Jan. 11
Residents in San Antonio’s District 2 are being asked to help shape the future of the District 2 Senior Center and surrounding area through a public survey that remains open until January 11, 2026.
The City of San Antonio has acquired more than 12 acres at 4911 Lord Road for the development of a new senior center, affordable housing for seniors and improvements near Copernicus Park. Plans include a 30,000-square-foot senior center with parking, along with broader conceptual planning for outdoor amenities and neighborhood connectivity.
3 Conceptual Master Plan Options
The survey presents three conceptual master plan options, each offering a different layout for the senior center, park space, housing, parking and recreational features. Residents are encouraged to review each option, select the plan they prefer most, note the one they prefer least and share additional feedback.

City officials say community input will play a key role in guiding the final master plan and ensuring the project reflects neighborhood priorities. The survey is designed to take approximately five minutes to complete and is open to all residents.
