The HBCU Honors Awards are returning to BET, celebrating Black excellence and the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with a star-studded lineup. This year’s event, hosted by actress Kym Whitley, tapes on November 14, 2024, at Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium and will air on BET on Sunday, December 1, at 8 p.m. ET.
The 2024 honorees include notable figures like filmmaker Will Packer, former NASA engineer Dr. Lonnie Johnson, and tech leader Jewel Burks Solomon, each recognized for their groundbreaking contributions in their respective fields. The ceremony will feature performances from artists like Fantasia, MC Lyte, Hezekiah Walker, and Erica Campbell, celebrating the achievements of HBCU alumni and the cultural impact of these institutions.
