The Artist Has Gained Her Wealth Mainly From International Stadium Tours and Controlling the Rights to Her Music
Beyoncé is officially a billionaire, according to Forbes, adding yet another milestone to a career. She becomes the fifth musician to ever reach billionaire status, joining an elite group that includes her husband Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Rihanna.
Much of Beyoncé’s recent financial surge is tied to an unprecedented run of touring and film success. Her 2023 Renaissance Tour spanned 39 cities and 56 shows, grossing more than $500 million and drawing over 2.7 million concertgoers worldwide.
That same era extended into theaters, where Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé topped the box office during its opening weekend in December 2023, bringing in $21 million.
In 2024, Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter, a genre-crossing country album that challenged long-standing industry boundaries. The project went on to win Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammys, where she took home three awards. The accompanying Cowboy Carter Tour grossed more than $400 million, making it the highest-grossing country tour in history, according to Pollstar.

Her success, however, stretches far beyond the last few years. Beyoncé began performing as a child in the early 1990s, forming the group Girl’s Tyme at just nine years old. The group later became Destiny’s Child, which won two Grammys in 1999 for The Writing’s on the Wall before launching one of the most successful solo careers in modern music.
Her debut album, Dangerously in Love, released in 2003, dominated charts worldwide and marked the beginning of a global ascent that has never slowed.
A key driver of Beyoncé’s billionaire status is ownership. In 2010, she founded Parkwood Entertainment, an in-house company that oversees nearly every aspect of her creative output. According to Forbes, Parkwood produces her music, documentaries, and concert tours, often covering production costs upfront to secure greater long-term returns.
Beyond music and business, Beyoncé remains a cultural and political force, using her platform to engage with issues ranging from voting rights to reproductive freedom. She appeared at a Houston rally alongside Kamala Harris in October 2024, underscoring her continued presence in the public and civic arena.
At this point, the billionaire designation feels less like a revelation and more like delayed confirmation. Beyoncé didn’t just build a career. She built an empire, one project at a time, with ownership and control at the center of it all.
