(Bexar Appraisal District News Release) — The Bexar Appraisal District has mailed more than 390,000 Notices of Appraised Value for 2025. These notices were sent only to property owners whose property value increased by $1,000 or more over the previous year.
The deadline to protest your 2025 property appraisal is May 15, 2025. Property owners are encouraged to use the Online Services Portal at www.bcadonline.org to file a protest quickly and conveniently. Protests may also be submitted by mail or in person during regular business hours. Mailed protests are considered timely if postmarked by midnight on May 15. Please note that in-person filers may experience long wait times.
Chief Appraiser Rogelio Sandoval emphasized that property owners have the right to protest even if they did not receive a Notice of Appraised Value.
Receiving a notice is not a requirement to file a protest,” said Sandoval. “If you believe your property value is incorrect, you can still file a protest by the deadline and make your case.
