Bands of America San Antonio Super Regional Championship Set for November 8-9 at the Alamodome
Next month, the highly anticipated Bands of America San Antonio Super Regional Championship presented by Yamaha will take place at the Alamodome. On November 8-9, high school marching bands from across the region, including Texas, Arizona, Mississippi, and New Mexico, will gather for this premier event, showcasing the talent and dedication of student musicians.
A Two-Day Competition Featuring Top Regional Bands
The competition will be held over two days, beginning Friday, November 8, at 9:45 a.m. with preliminary performances. Bands will compete throughout the day and into Saturday, culminating in an exhibition performance by the Spirit of Houston Marching Band at 3:15 p.m. on November 9. This special event will lead into the finals, where the 14 highest-scoring bands will compete for the championship title.
Expert Evaluation and Prestigious Honors
Performances will be evaluated by a panel of nationally recognized music educators and marching band experts, ensuring a high level of competition. The top 14 bands from the preliminary rounds will advance to the finals on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., with the champion announced later that night.

More Than Just Music: A Transformative Experience
Dr. Jeremy Earnhart, President and CEO of Music for All, highlights the significance of the event: “Marching band is even more than music and performance; it’s a powerful experience that builds discipline, teamwork, and lifelong memories. Participating in Bands of America Championships takes that to the next level, challenging high school students to strive for excellence, showcase their talents on a national stage, and feel the pride of being part of something truly extraordinary.”
