Alamo Colleges District Opens New Welcome Center at ACCESS to Connect Students with Opportunities
The Alamo Colleges District is expanding its efforts to make higher education more accessible with the grand opening of the Welcome Center at ACCESS. This new 7,000-square-foot facility, located at 2222 N. Alamo St., just north of downtown, will serve as a central hub for prospective students exploring educational and career pathways.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official launch of the center, where local leaders, educators, and community members gathered to celebrate the district’s latest initiative to remove barriers to education.
“The new Welcome Center at ACCESS is a place where anyone in our community – whether they are a first-time student, a returning learner, or someone seeking a new career path – can take the first step toward achieving their educational goals,” said Dr. Mike Flores, Alamo Colleges District Chancellor. “This center reflects our district’s commitment to our moonshot by removing barriers and ensuring everyone has access to higher education.”
