Mayor Nirenberg Outlines Action Plan for East Side Small Business Owners

As the nation and Texas in particular, begins the process of vaccinations, the removal of the mandatory mask mandates and are opened to 100% capacity, small businesses, who took the major hit during the pandemic, are still at risk financially. Many closed, some are holding on precariously. It is with these facts in mind that on Saturday, March 20th a Q&A session hosted by Mike Brown of Tanks Pizza began. After an introduction by Joe Linson, each business owner introduced themselves and their business. All were offered a chance to present a question and have Mayor Nirenberg answer outlining his economic policy for now and his plans during his next term. “Small business is the backbone of San Antonio’s economy. As we emerge from the pandemic, we must do all we can to help them move forward.” Said Mayor Ron Nirenberg. Immediately after this event, Mayor Nirenberg traveled to nearby to Bluebonnet Street to view “Big Mama’s Safe House.”
