‘Twas a busy week for NBA team sales, as the league officially approved the record-breaking $6.1 billion purchase of the Boston Celtics by a group led by Bill Chisholm. The sale is expected to close shortly, per the NBA.

Elsewhere in the league, Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon told CNBC that he has reached an agreement to purchase the Portland Trail Blazers from the estate of late owner Paul Allen. Financials were not disclosed.
