Trump Posts Meme of Himself and JD Vance Chasing Obama in White Bronco

Trump Revives Meme Warfare with O.J. Inspired Obama in White Bronco Chase

President Donald Trump has once again turned to memes to fuel political spectacle, posting an image depicting himself and Vice President JD Vance in police cars chasing former President Barack Obama, who is driving a white Ford Bronco. The image recreates the infamous 1994 OJ Simpson police pursuit and superimposes Obama’s face onto the vehicle’s driver.

Simpson’s original chase became one of the most watched events in U.S. television history and was followed by a controversial murder trial in which he was acquitted.

The latest meme post features Trump’s normal photo, while Vance appears exaggerated and disheveled — a callback to a previous viral meme of the vice president. Vance reposted the image on X with a crying laughing emoji, seemingly unbothered by the depiction.

Meme as Political Diversion

While the exact intent of the meme is unclear, its timing is not. The post coincides with growing bipartisan demands for transparency regarding the “Epstein files,” a trove of materials related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump has sought to shift attention away from his own alleged connection to the files by reviving attacks on Obama and revisiting the narrative of the 2016 “Russiagate” investigation.

Last month, The Wall Street Journal reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi told Trump in May that his name appeared in the files—something Trump and Bondi have both denied. Trump has since claimed the Epstein case is fabricated by Obama, Biden, and former FBI director James Comey, despite Epstein being charged and jailed during Trump’s own administration.

Coup Claims and Rare Obama Rebuttal

The meme post came just days after National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard accused Obama of orchestrating a “coup” during the 2016 election by directing the intelligence community to fabricate evidence against Trump.

“There is irrefutable evidence that detailed how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false,” Gabbard said.

Obama responded with a rare statement, brushing off the claims as “a weak attempt at a distraction.” Trump followed up with a Truth Social post saying, “Barack Hussein Obama led a coup,” and criticized the media for focusing on Epstein instead of “how well the country is doing.”

Meme Politics and the 2025 Narrative

This isn’t the first time Trump has turned to AI-generated or meme-based imagery to attack his political rivals. He previously shared a doctored video showing Obama being arrested in the Oval Office to the tune of the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.”

By casting Obama as a fugitive and Vance as a scrappy enforcer, Trump continues a political theater strategy aimed at stoking online engagement, discrediting past investigations, and reframing current scandals.
