Free Movies All Season Long at Mission Marquee Plaza

Mission Marquee Plaza Brings Back Free Outdoor Movie Nights for 2025

San Antonio’s Mission Marquee Plaza is bringing back its popular Outdoor Family Film Series for 2025, starting this Thursday, May 15, with a free showing of Grease. The series is presented by H-E-B and hosted by the City’s World Heritage Office.

The opening night event will feature a performance by The Wonder Theatre Adult Troupe and a lineup of classic cars from the Push Rod Classic Car Club. Remarks from District 3 Councilmember Phyllis Viagran and the World Heritage Office will kick things off before the movie plays.

Located at 3100 Roosevelt Ave., Mission Marquee Plaza will show movies through November 15. Films will be screened on the first and third Saturdays, and the third Thursday of each month. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the movies begin after sunset. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, or picnics. Local food trucks will also be on-site offering food and drinks for purchase.
