Top Teens of America Celebrate Leadership at Blue & Silver Ball: A Night of Purpose and Community Impact
The River City Chapter of Top Teens of America (TTA), sponsored by Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD), held its annual Blue & Silver Ball and Mr. & Miss Top Teen Coronation on February 23, 2025, at the San Antonio Marriott Northwest Medical Center Hotel. The event celebrated outstanding youth leadership while raising funds for community initiatives and reinforcing a shared commitment to service.
Throughout the evening, the Blue & Silver Ball showcased the teens’ dedication to service, highlighting national initiatives such as March of Dimes, St. Jude’s, and Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness. A key moment of the night featured Ms. Deanna Navarro of the Sickle Cell Association of Texas Marc Thomas Foundation, who provided critical insights on the disease.
Recognizing the 2025 Mr. & Miss Top Teen
A highlight of the evening was the crowning of the 2025 Mr. and Miss Top Teen:
Miss Top Teen: Lauren Hardeway
Mr. Top Teen: Elijah Green
Lauren and Elijah were selected for their leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to community service. Their roles extend beyond the evening’s celebration, as they will serve as ambassadors for the River City Chapter, advocating for TTA’s mission and engaging in various service projects. As representatives, they will attend the Area One Conference (March 6-9, 2025), where they will network with peers from 31 other chapters and take part in leadership workshops, competitions, and discussions on key community issues.
Supporting the Next Generation
As we continue to bolster our support for community initiatives, celebrating youth leadership, community service, and academic excellence remains vital. Recognizing these initiatives is essential as these programs foster leadership, civic responsibility, and personal development, equipping young people with the skills and confidence to create positive change.
As the youth arm of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., TTA is part of a national network of over 125 chapters, empowering more than 3,500 teens nationwide. The Blue & Silver Ball is more than an annual tradition—it is a powerful force driving TTA’s mission of leadership development, academic achievement, and community service.
With ever-evolving community needs, it is essential to recognize and support events and organizations that uplift young leaders and provide them with opportunities for growth. Their efforts strengthen the foundation of our communities, ensuring future generations receive the guidance and support necessary for success. By celebrating and investing in these initiatives, we help create a lasting legacy of leadership and service that will continue to shape San Antonio and beyond.
