Jessica Taylor, founder and CEO of Ezra Coffee, turned a childhood passion into a specialty brand that celebrates culture, connection, and inclusion. Inspired by memories at her grandparents’ kitchen table in rural Arkansas, she created a coffee experience that blends rich flavors with history.
“Ezra Coffee began as a passion project inspired by my sister’s allergies to dairy, soy, and nuts,” says Taylor. “We developed naturally flavored, mixed-origin blends that deliver bold taste without the need for milk-based creamers.”
Coffee, American History, & Giving Back
As a former educator and Diversity & Inclusion strategist, Taylor ensures every cup tells a story. “Each blend is named after influential African American and BIPOC figures or events that have shaped American history. It’s about more than coffee—it’s about awareness and appreciation.”
Ezra Coffee is also committed to giving back. “We donate unsold products to organizations like the Salvation Army and local food banks to reduce waste and support those in need,” Taylor explains. The company also provides college students with hands-on experience through senior capstone research opportunities.
