The NAACP Image Awards are set to take place in Los Angeles this February, highlighting exceptional achievements in film, television, music, and more. The winner of each category will be announced during the live ceremony on February 22, broadcast on BET and CBS.
‘The Piano Lesson,’ ‘Fight Night,’ Ayo Edebiri, and GloRilla Dominate Nominations
“The Piano Lesson,” an adaptation of August Wilson’s acclaimed play starring John David Washington, leads the film categories with 14 nominations. Its powerful storytelling and performances have made it a standout in this year’s awards season.
In television, “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” has emerged as a leader with nine nominations. The production’s compelling narrative has garnered widespread recognition.
Ayo Edebiri, best known for her role in FX’s “The Bear,” has earned four nominations spanning TV and film. Her nods include her standout performance on “The Bear,” a guest appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” and her voice work in Pixar’s upcoming “Inside Out 2.”
In the music categories, rapper GloRilla leads with six nominations, followed by Doechii, Kendrick Lamar, and Usher, who each earned four nominations. Their contributions to music continue to elevate the culture and inspire audiences worldwide.
Public Voting Open for 102 Categories
