Borrowing Library Books is Easier Than Ever with Curbside Pickup. The option is now available at most San Antonio Public Library locations.
(SAPL News Release) – Picking up items from the library just got more convenient with the launch of a new Curbside Pickup option available to patrons at most San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) locations.
Curbside Pickup is a new option for picking up physical items that patrons can place on hold from the library. Busy San Antonians can now add visits to the library to the growing list of services available from their vehicles. New Curbside Pickup spots are designated with bright purple signs and the location phone number to request Curbside Pickup. The service is simple to use:
Place items on hold in-person, at MySAPL.org, or through the MySAPL app.
Pull into a curbside spot and call the number on the sign after being notified that items are ready for pickup.
Sit back and relax while items are delivered to your vehicle!
Curbside Pickup is available immediately at most San Antonio Public Library locations except the Kampmann Portal at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. The Encino Branch Library offers a unique variant of curbside service via a drive-thru window—an artifact intentionally preserved in the library’s design from the facility’s former use as a restaurant.
All library patrons can use Curbside Pickup service, and no pre-registration is required. If Curbside Pickup spots are occupied when patrons arrive to collect items, they may park in the nearest available space and let the library staff know their location and the make and color of their vehicle. To place items on hold and use this new service, patrons need an active library card.
