REHABARAMA Volunteer Workday: Help Preserve San Antonio’s History with a Fresh Coat of Paint!
Calling all volunteers! REHABARAMA is making its return, and this time, we’re rolling up our sleeves to preserve a piece of San Antonio history. If you’re ready to make a difference in your community, grab your painting gear and join the effort to restore an older home in the Riverside neighborhood.

• When: Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Where: A house near the Riverside Golf Course (exact location will be provided after registration).
What Is REHABARAMA?
REHABARAMA is a community-driven housing preservation program led by San Antonio’s Office of Historic Preservation. The initiative focuses on extending the life of older homes while maintaining their unique architectural charm. By emphasizing the retention of original building materials, the program ensures these homes remain safe, dry, and warm for years to come.
This isn’t just about painting—it’s about hands-on preservation and keeping San Antonio’s history alive.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Here’s what you can expect:
• Prepping the area for painting (laying down drop cloths, protecting surfaces).
• Climbing ladders and using rollers or paintbrushes to apply a fresh coat of paint.
• Lending your energy and enthusiasm to bring this home back to life!
All volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Water and light snacks will be provided to keep you fueled and ready.
