A Primo NBA Bid?

Former Spurs Player Josh Primo Making an NBA Comeback Bid?

Former San Antonio Spurs guard Josh Primo remains free of any NBA suspension, leaving the possibility open for him to join a team of his preference should an offer arise.

While the San Antonio Spurs usher in a fresh era with Victor Wembanyama, questions arise among fans about what might have been if the team’s 2021 first-round pick, Joshua Primo, had continued as a vital part of their future. However, Primo’s trajectory was disrupted by allegations of sexual misconduct, leading to his surprising release by the Spurs on October 28 last season, just before a game against the Chicago Bulls. This unexpected move was a jolt to Spurs enthusiasts, given that Primo had been selected as the 12th overall pick the previous year.

Subsequently, it emerged that Primo had allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior, including exposing himself to women, notably Dr. Hillary Cauthen, a former psychologist for the Spurs. This resulted in a lawsuit filed by Dr. Cauthen against both Primo and the Spurs, which was later settled in November.

Despite these events, Primo has neither faced criminal charges nor incurred an NBA suspension. Consequently, he retains the possibility of signing with a team of his choosing should an offer materialize.
