First Day Of School For SAISD Students is August 15th, Here is Some Much Needed Starter Information for a Great 2023-2024 School Year
The first day of school is next week. Summer has been a hot one as many welcome the fall to bring relief quickly. Students in SAISD will have their first day back on August 15, 2023.
SAISD states on their website (SAISD.net): “SAISD has created a one-stop webpage outlining all of the necessary items to ensure your student is ready for the first day of school. Once you’ve completed enrollment, you will be able to learn how to get involved at your students school, review extracurricular activities, or discover available resources for SAISD families.”
Gearing up for the first day and the curiosity families have when a new school year starts, Douglas Elementary set out to meet over 90 families, in person at their home. These types of gestures, not warranted yet given of freely is what our children and parents deserve. Thank you to all the teachers who go above and beyond everyday for all of our students.
SAISDs news states, “Volunteers from across district departments and campuses went on bus trips into the community July 19-29 to help families register for school. Knocking on doors of current students and new families, staff walked them through the registration process, ensuring everything was ready for our students to have a great first day of school. In total, more than 90 students were registered over the course of the block walking trips.”
