The City of San Antonio’s Metro Health Department commemorates Black Maternal Health Week from April 11-17 to increase awareness and community-building to amplify the voices, perspectives, and lived experiences of Black mothers and birthing people.
In honor of this week, their will be an inaugural Day of Celebration on Friday, April 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Philip’s College. This event will focus on educating and empowering Black women who are of childbearing age or expecting by providing information and resources for healthy pregnancies.
