San Antonio Film Contest open through April 3rd
San Antonio has a huge community of creatives in photography and film and so much more in the arts and culture. Now is the time for our young adults to showcase their work competitively. The City of San Antonio’s Film Contest opened for contestants on Jan. 23rd ending April 3rd. The city website states:
The 2023 #FilmSA Contest is a film competition coordinated by the San Antonio Film Commission that is devoted to telling the story of the people, places, and shared experiences that make San Antonio a vibrant and celebrated city for visitors, residents, and filmmakers. The contest’s purpose is to inspire youth to explore the art and craft of filmmaking while expanding their knowledge of and appreciation for San Antonio. Hosted in collaboration with the City of San Antonio’s World Heritage Office, 2023 #FilmSA Contest applicants can enter films in one of two categories: “Heritage and Quality of Life” or “City Parks of San Antonio.” Filmmakers will be entered into the age categories 14 – 17 years old and 18 – 21 years old. A total of four winners will receive $1,000.00 awards.
Timeline:
-Contest opens January 23, 2023
-Submissions are due Monday, April 3, 2023 at 5pm CST
-Screening and Awards Ceremony will take place on May 6, 2023 at Mission Marquee Plaza
