This weekend is Sales Tax Holiday: Aug. 5 – 7, 2022
This weekend is tax free weekend on qualifying purchases. Inflation fears heat up in Texas as thoughts of back-to-school shopping creep back to parents’ minds. But relief is coming in the form of a tax-free holiday the first weekend of August.
The Comptroller urges all Texas businesses and residents to save money on the approved tax-free purchases such as back to school supplies, clothing during this upcoming weekend up to $100 per item.
All purchases this weekend in a Texas store or an online business in Texas will be tax-free provided they are an approved purchase as mentioned above. The sales tax holiday begins August 5th through August 7th.
This is a great time for Texas parents and businesses to save money during an all time high of inflation.
