Wembanyama Will Appear on the Standard Edition, Clark on the Deluxe Edition and Rose on the Limited-Time Ultra Edition
Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark and Derrick Rose have been selected as the cover athletes for NBA 2K27, bringing together three stars from different generations of basketball.
Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs’ franchise centerpiece and reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year, will appear on the game’s Standard Edition.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will headline the Deluxe Edition, while former NBA MVP Derrick Rose will be featured on the limited-time Ultra Edition.

The selection marks another major milestone for Wembanyama, whose rapid rise has made him one of the most recognizable young players in professional basketball.
“To be the face of a game that fuels that hunger for hoops and whose covers immortalize the all-time greats, that’s a dream come true for me,” Wembanyama said.
The French star said NBA 2K offers basketball fans an opportunity to remain connected to the sport whether they are in Paris, San Antonio or anywhere else in the world.
Clark said appearing on the cover carries additional meaning because of the game’s global reach.
“Being on the cover of NBA 2K27 is special because this game reaches fans all over the world,” Clark said. “To be the first WNBA player on her own global cover means women’s basketball gets to show up on that stage too, and I am proud to be part of that.”
Derrick Rose Returns to NBA 2K Cover
Rose previously appeared alongside Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant on the cover of NBA 2K13.
The Chicago native became the youngest MVP in NBA history in 2011 and was selected to three NBA All-Star teams during his career.
“This is a chance to inspire young athletes to stay obsessed with the game,” Rose said. “To show them that when you put in the countless hours of hard work, it rewards you.”
NBA 2K27’s Standard Edition will launch worldwide Sept. 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
Players who purchase the Deluxe or Ultra editions will receive early access beginning Aug. 28. The Standard Edition will cost $69.99, the Deluxe Edition will cost $99.99 and the limited-time Ultra Edition will cost $149.99.
