White House Arcade Features Five Retro-Style Games Promoting Trump Policies, Including Simulated Border Enforcement and Deportations
The Trump administration has turned parts of its policy agenda into an online arcade, launching five retro-style video games on the official White House website — including games that allow players to build a border wall and simulate deporting migrants.
The new White House Arcade, launched Thursday, Sept. 3, features games modeled after familiar titles including Tetris, Snake and Flappy Bird. The White House describes the collection as an interactive way to showcase several administration priorities.
The rollout comes as President Donald Trump’s administration continues an aggressive immigration enforcement campaign and faces ongoing scrutiny over Immigration and Customs Enforcement tactics.
One game, “Build the Wall,” has players stack wall sections while figures move toward the barrier. The White House Arcade describes the objective as, “Protect the border from the coming horde.”
The game is modeled on the block-stacking mechanics associated with Tetris. The Tetris Company told The Associated Press that it had no involvement with the game and raised concerns about the White House’s use of concepts associated with its brand.
Another game, “Rio Run,” uses gameplay similar to Snake. Players patrol a representation of the Rio Grande, intercept figures portrayed as migrants and deport them while building their score.
Reuters reported that the game depicts border enforcement as part of a broader collection built around Trump administration policies.
Five Games Promote Trump Administration Priorities
The immigration-themed games are two of five currently available through the White House Arcade.
“Flappy Bill” has players guide a bald eagle over the National Mall while navigating legislation through obstacles. “Supply Line” centers on sorting school lunches under the administration’s Make America Healthy Again initiative, while “Trump Savings Tycoon” focuses on placing money into Trump Accounts for children.
The White House promoted the collection on social media with the message: “Build the wall. Deport. Fill a Trump Account,” according to theGrio.
The arcade also includes a placeholder for a sixth game labeled “Coming Soon,” indicating the collection may expand.
The games arrive as immigration remains one of the administration’s most visible policy priorities, with continued deportation operations, border enforcement actions and construction disputes along the U.S.-Mexico border. Recent projects have included administration efforts to expand border barriers in Texas, including proposals that have faced legal and community challenges.
The launch has also drawn criticism from immigration-rights advocates, who argue that turning detention and deportation into entertainment trivializes the consequences faced by migrants and their families. The White House, meanwhile, presents the arcade as a promotional feature highlighting its policy agenda.
