The Spurs Nuns Are Bringing Faith, Joy and Hometown Pride to San Antonio’s NBA Finals Excitement
The Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco, affectionately known online as the “Spurs Nuns,” have gone viral for their enthusiastic support of the Silver and Black. Their videos and appearances have attracted attention from fans across the country as excitement builds around San Antonio’s return to the NBA Finals.
Spurs Roll Out the Red Carpet
The sisters’ growing popularity recently earned them a memorable surprise from the Spurs organization.
Ahead of a playoff game, the nuns received VIP treatment that included a police escort, luxury transportation and seats in a private suite at Frost Bank Center. Videos of the experience quickly spread online, adding to their growing fan base.
The sisters have followed the Spurs for years and say they admire the teamwork, discipline and community values the organization represents.
Nuns Go National
While their newfound fame has brought national attention, the sisters remain focused on their work serving young people and families in San Antonio.
As the NBA Finals begin, the Spurs Nuns have become a symbol of the city’s spirit — loyal, joyful and proudly cheering for the hometown team.
