Simone Biles Taste of Gold Restaurant Opens at Houston Airport

“As A Frequent Traveler, I Wanted To Help Create A Place Where People Can Relax And Enjoy A Meal,” Biles Said

Olympic champion Simone Biles is adding another title to her resume, stepping into the restaurant business with the launch of her new airport eatery, “Taste of Gold,” at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

The restaurant officially opened March 24 inside Terminal A, with Biles and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, attending a ribbon cutting ceremony. The opening was first reported by the Houston Chronicle and confirmed by airport officials.

A Travel Friendly Dining Concept Inspired by Her Career

“Simone Biles Taste of Gold restaurant” is designed with travelers in mind, offering a relaxed space for passengers navigating one of Texas’ busiest airports.

“As a frequent traveler, I wanted to help create a place where people can relax and enjoy a meal,” Biles said in a statement.

The menu features a range of casual dining options, including sandwiches, salads, skewers, desserts, and shareable plates. The space also reflects Biles’ legacy, with decor inspired by her gymnastics achievements and multiple large screen televisions throughout.

Partnership Brings Airport Dining Experience to Life

To bring the concept to Houston, Biles partnered with Athlete Playermaker Group, a company known for developing restaurant concepts in airport spaces.

The restaurant is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering travelers a consistent dining option whether arriving, departing, or in between flights.

Opening Comes Amid Personal and Professional Changes

The restaurant launch comes during a period of transition for Biles and her family. Her husband, Jonathan Owens, was recently traded from the Chicago Bears to the Indianapolis Colts, prompting plans for a move ahead of the upcoming NFL season.

Biles has publicly supported Owens through the transition and has shared her excitement about settling into a new city, even turning to fans for recommendations.

Staying Connected to Houston Roots

Despite upcoming changes, the launch of “Taste of Gold” highlights Biles’ continued connection to her Texas roots. The Houston native has long represented the city on the global stage, and this latest venture keeps her presence firmly grounded at home.

The restaurant marks her latest move beyond gymnastics, expanding her brand into business while offering travelers a new dining option tied directly to one of the sport’s most decorated athletes.
