Susan G. Komen’s MORE THAN PINK Walk returns to SeaWorld San Antonio on Oct. 17

The Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk will return to San Antonio on Saturday, Oct. 17, bringing thousands of breast cancer survivors, patients, families and supporters together at SeaWorld San Antonio.

More than 7,000 people are expected to participate in this year’s walk, which begins at 7 a.m. The event is free to attend and is designed to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, including breast cancer survivors, people currently undergoing treatment and those living with metastatic breast cancer.

San Antonio Walk Sets $310,000 Goal

This year, Susan G. Komen is aiming to raise $310,000 through the San Antonio MORE THAN PINK Walk.

Money raised through the event supports breast cancer research, patient care and assistance, education and advocacy aimed at improving access to quality breast health services.

The walk evolved from Komen’s longtime Race for the Cure event series in 2018, shifting the focus from racing to bringing the entire breast cancer community together.

Registration is free, although participants are encouraged to raise money individually or as part of a team.

Breast Cancer Continues To Impact Texas Families

Susan G. Komen estimates that approximately 24,270 people in Texas will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2026, while an estimated 3,400 Texans will die from the disease.

The organization says its Patient Care Center provided more than 2,400 patient navigation services to nearly 1,700 people across Texas during fiscal year 2026. Another 1,339 Texans undergoing breast cancer treatment or living with metastatic breast cancer received a combined $661,500 in direct financial assistance.

The assistance is intended to help patients overcome financial and logistical barriers that can interfere with treatment, including transportation, housing, food and medical expenses.

A Morning Of Support And Remembrance

The MORE THAN PINK Walk also provides an opportunity for San Antonio families to recognize survivors, remember those who have died from breast cancer and support people currently facing the disease.

The 2026 San Antonio MORE THAN PINK Walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, beginning at 7 a.m. at SeaWorld San Antonio, 10500 SeaWorld Drive.

Participation is free, but registration is required. Individuals can participate, form a team, join an existing team or make a donation to support the event.
