SAISD Announces 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Class Honoring Champions, NFL Standouts and Historic Teams
San Antonio Independent School District has announced its 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Class, recognizing six individuals and championship teams whose athletic accomplishments and lasting contributions have helped shape the district’s rich sports tradition.
The inductees will be honored during the 12th Annual SAISD Athletic Hall of Fame Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 3:30 p.m. at the Alamo Convocation Center.
Class Honors Individual and Team Excellence
This year’s Hall of Fame class includes:
- Ramon Richards, Brackenridge High School Class of 2014, former NFL defensive back and recent Super Bowl champion.
- Howard Fest, Edison High School Class of 1964, recognized for his accomplished NFL career.
- Debbie Arzola, Jefferson High School Class of 1993, nationally accomplished marathon runner.
- Ricky Bullock, Jefferson High School Class of 1972, honored for his standout basketball career.
- 1962 Brackenridge High School State Championship Football Team.
- 1997 Fox Tech High School State Championship Basketball Team.
Hall of Fame Recognizes Excellence Beyond Athletics
Established in 2014, the SAISD Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes former student-athletes, coaches, administrators and contributors whose accomplishments have positively impacted athletics and the district. In addition to athletic achievement, inductees are selected for their leadership, character and contributions both on and off the field or court.
Bronze plaques honoring each inductee are permanently displayed at the east visitor entrance of Alamo Stadium.

Nominations Open for the Class of 2027
SAISD is also accepting nominations for the Class of 2027 Athletic Hall of Fame.
Eligible nominees include former student-athletes, coaches, administrators and contributors who meet the district’s established service and eligibility requirements. Completed nomination forms may be mailed to the SAISD Athletic Office, 110 Tuleta Drive, San Antonio, TX 78212, or submitted by email.
The nomination deadline is Feb. 28, 2027.
