Free Statewide Directory Helps Shoppers Turn Concern About Texas Politics and Agriculture into Direct Support for Local Producers
Texans looking for a practical way to support independent agriculture now have a free directory connecting them with 52 farms, ranches, co-ops, apiaries, nurseries and other local food resources across the state—making it easier to know where their meat comes from and feel confident that it is fresh.
The Texas Independent Farm Guide, compiled by social media, independent editorialist, IndieTrish, known online as @indietrish, grew from a call she made to Texans who are dissatisfied with the current political direction of the state and want to support independent producers who share their desire for change.
Trish initially asked farms and agricultural businesses to identify themselves, explain what they sell and say where they are located. She first focused on producers within driving distance, but broadened the project after receiving interest from across Texas.
The response from shoppers was just as strong. Trish said so many people signed up to receive the directory that her email client could not handle the demand.
The completed August 2026 guide is free and includes producers in Central Texas, Greater Houston, North Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the Hill Country, Gulf Coast, East Texas, Greater San Antonio, the Panhandle, West Texas and the El Paso region. It also includes one Texas-based online specialty business.
From Political Concern to Local Action
Trish explained the project is meant for Texans who want to respond to political, economic and cultural concerns by directing more of their spending toward independent agriculture.
She is not a farm-based content creator. Trish describes herself as an independent, self-funded editorialist who grew up on a farm and cares deeply about agriculture in Texas. She also discusses state and national politics, economics, culture and geopolitics through her social media platforms.
Although Trish began the project with a political call to action, the published guide primarily provides practical information about each producer, including its location, products, agricultural practices, ownership information when publicly stated, contact details and purchasing links.
The directory is especially strong in Central Texas, the Austin area, Greater San Antonio, Houston and North Texas. Trish is continuing to seek more farms and agricultural resources in the Panhandle, West Texas, the Rio Grande Valley and East Texas.
The guide is a growing resource and will be updated as additional Texas farms, ranches and agricultural businesses submit their information for inclusion. Save this free farm directory in your bookmarks today!

Shoppers Should Verify Information
Trish made her best effort to vet the farms, but she is asking shoppers to conduct their own research before buying.
Availability, growing and livestock practices, prices, pickup and delivery options, certifications and other information can change. Readers should confirm current details directly with each producer.
Ownership and identity descriptions in the guide are included only when they were publicly stated or clearly verified. To contact Trish and add your local farm visit her on Instagram or Facebook and send her a message.
Editor’s note: A farm’s appearance in this directory should not, by itself, be interpreted as an endorsement of or opposition to any political candidate, party or administration. Political views should be attributed to an individual farm or producer only when that business has publicly stated them.
