Community members are being asked to help identify the individual or individuals responsible for vandalizing a historic marker in San Antonio’s Denver Heights neighborhood.
Neighborhoods First Alliance (NFA) is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible for damaging the historical marker located at the corner of Iowa Street and South Pine Street.
According to a public notice released by the organization, a police report has been filed regarding the incident.
The damaged marker recognizes an important part of Denver Heights’ history, and community leaders are urging anyone with information to come forward. The reward is being offered in hopes of helping authorities identify those responsible and hold them accountable.

The organization did not release additional details about when the vandalism occurred or identify any suspects.
