Back 2 School Jamboree to Provide Free Supplies for San Antonio Students

Children Must Be Present to Receive Free School Supplies During the 21st Annual Back 2 School Jamboree at Claude W. Black Community Center

Students and families preparing for the new school year will have an opportunity to receive free school supplies during the 21st Annual Back 2 School Jamboree on Friday, July 24.

Hosted by the Advisory Board in partnership with the DreamBuilders of Texas Charitable Foundation and presented with support from H-E-B, the annual event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Claude W. Black Community Center, 2805 E. Commerce St.

Free School Supplies Available

The Back 2 School Jamboree is designed to help families offset the cost of back-to-school essentials while connecting them with local organizations and resources. According to event organizers, school supplies will be distributed while supplies last, and children must be present to receive them.

Community Organizations Support

The event is supported by numerous organizations and sponsors, including Frost, the U.S. Army, the American Legion Fred Brock Post 828, Human Services, Kiolbassa Smoked Meats, Noble Gentlemen of San Antonio, Moses Temple No. 106, Prince Hall Shriners, Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and the San Antonio Observer.

Celebrating 21 Years of Service

Now in its 21st year, the Back 2 School Jamboree has become a longstanding community tradition, helping thousands of local students begin the school year with essential classroom supplies while bringing together businesses, civic groups and volunteers committed to supporting education.

Families are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone.
