San Antonio Film Festival Returns for 32nd Year Celebrating Independent Cinema

Film lovers from across Texas and beyond will gather in downtown San Antonio this summer as the 32nd San Antonio Film Festival (SAFILM) returns July 21-26, 2026, celebrating more than three decades of independent filmmaking and creative storytelling.

Red-Carpet Premieres and Special Guests

The six-day festival will take place at 106 Auditorium Circle, Suite 120, near the Henry B. González Convention Center, and will feature a packed schedule of feature films, short films, documentaries, screenplay showcases, educational panels, networking opportunities, red-carpet premieres and appearances by special guests.

As the largest film festival in South Texas, SAFILM has built a reputation for supporting emerging filmmakers while providing audiences with an opportunity to experience independent cinema from around the world. The festival brings together filmmakers, actors, students, industry professionals and movie enthusiasts in an environment focused on creativity, collaboration and cultural exchange.
