SAISD Foundation Offering Free Refurbished Laptops to Students

Laptop Distribution is Scheduled for May 26 at the Alamo Convocation Center

The SAISD Foundation has partnered with local nonprofit Compudopt to provide free refurbished laptops to SAISD students who do not have access to a computer at home.

Students who need a device for school are encouraged to register through the SAISD Foundation Computer Giveaway Request Form. Organizers said the program is designed to help bridge the digital divide and ensure students have access to technology for learning at home and in the classroom.

Those who register and are eligible for a laptop will receive a confirmation email with pickup instructions. Laptop distribution is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Alamo Convocation Center, located at 110 Tuleta Drive in San Antonio.

The laptops are free to keep and include two years of free technical support.

Students who are not initially selected may still attend the distribution event beginning at 6:30 p.m. to check for any remaining devices available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students who cannot attend in person may send a representative to pick up the laptop using the student’s registered name and phone number.
