Bronwyn Vance, Joins Several Other Hollywood Elites, Including Lori Harvey in Le Bal des Débutantes
Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance officially have a debutante in the family. Their 19-year-old daughter, Bronwyn Vance, was one of just 20 young women selected for this year’s ultra-exclusive Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, according to Vogue.
The Harvard sophomore made her entrance in an elaborate ivory tulle ballgown by Stéphane Rolland, detailed with gold floral appliqué. Her twin brother, Slater, took on the role of her cavalier for the evening, while their father proudly accompanied her for the signature father-daughter dance. Bassett was also in the audience for the milestone moment.
Le Bal, a blend of long-standing society tradition, couture showcase, and high-profile charitable gala, brings together daughters of prominent families from around the world. Over Thanksgiving week, the debutantes and their families arrived in Paris for days of rehearsals, couture fittings, and private jewelry appointments, including exclusive sessions to select pieces from V Muse for the big night.
Bronwyn’s peers at this year’s event included Carolina Lansing, granddaughter of fashion legend Carolina Herrera; Jillian Chan, daughter of filmmaker Peter Chan and actress Sandra Ng; Ella Wadia, descendant of Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah; and Sarah Bae, daughter of novelist Janice Lee and billionaire investor Joseph Bae.
Also in attendance were Princess Eulalia Orléans Bourbon and Princess Isabelle d’Orléans. The group wore couture from designers such as Schiaparelli, Elie Saab, and Oscar de la Renta. All but one debutante, who was allowed to wear her family’s heirloom tiara and jewels, accessorized with pieces from V Muse.
Bronwyn joins a long list of celebrity daughters who have made their debut at the Parisian ball, following in the footsteps of Sophie Kodjoe, Lori Harvey, Lily Collins, Margaret Qualley, Apple Martin, Ava Philippe, and Scout Willis.
